I have been in the floristry industry for the more than 25 years (previously at Jacaranda Flowers in Heckmondwike). I opened my own business Simply Sympathy in 2022.

Through those years, I covered all aspects of floristry. Helping people celebrate the wonderful events in their lives, but also the saddest times.

I think I’m probably unique in specialising in funeral flowers, but it’s this area that gives me the most satisfaction. It’s so rewarding helping my customers say goodbye to someone they loved and cared for, and that’s what led me to open Simply Sympathy.

Engaging with customers has played a big part in my career, and I was adamant that Simply Sympathy wouldn’t be a faceless website. It’s so important that my customers can speak to someone when choosing the most appropriate way to say goodbye.
